Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born on April 24 1982 to Steve Clarkson and Jeanne Taylor{then Clarkson}. She has an older brother named Jason who's 30,and a sister named Alyssa who's 25.{along with many stepsiblings and halfsiblings.
2002-2003 has been a very very busy year for our first Idol. Her first single,"A Moment Like This" went from #52 to #1 in one week,breaking the 38 year old record held by the Beatles' hit "Can't Buy Me Love."
The single which also featured Kelly's other hit "Before Your Love" went Gold.
On April 15,2002 Kelly's debut album "Thankful" hit the shelves and went platium in less than 5 weeks.
We can't seem to get enough of our Idol. She along with several other Idol favorites are releasing a Christmas cd that is comming in October. Kelly will also be competing on a 2 hour special called World Idol along with Pop Idol winner Will Young,American Idol 2 winner,Ruben Studdard and the other Global Idol winners.
