In the Summer of 2002,America was introduced to something we've never heard of when American Idol premiered in late May on Fox. By June,we had our top 10 selected and ready:Kelly Clarkson,Justin Guarini,Tamrya Gray,AJ Gil,RJ Helton,Ryan Starr,Christina Christian,EJay Day,Jim Verraros,and Nikki McKibben.
Each week they performed until September 3rd,when Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini faced off in a head to head competion to see who would be the Idol. Finally the next day,it was announced that Kelly,a 20 year old ex waitress from Texas took 54 precent of the vote and won.
Since then,Kelly has had the fastest rising single in 10 years,her debut album has gone double platnium and "American Idol:Greatest Moments",the group cd that Kelly sings 4 songs on has gone gold.
For Kelly...A Moment Like This....has clearly become a year like this.
